Slide Switch – Multi-Position Electrical Control
Slide switches are versatile electrical components that allow selection between two or more switch positions, controlling circuits in various devices. Commonly used in audio and video equipment, lighting dimmers, variable-speed hand tools, and other electronics, they offer reliable and precise operation.
A slide switch operates by moving a slider to engage or disengage fixed contacts, enabling different electrical connections. Some designs combine slide and pushbutton functions for momentary actuation in each position. Available in various types-such as conductor strip slider switches, pivoting conductor designs, and microswitches with multiple terminals-slide switches can provide ON/OFF, changeover, or custom switching functions for diverse applications.
